Disappearing into nothing [I’m] the quintessence of non-being I’m floating backwards towards you Anonymously into you You don’t know me, But I know everything about you Being safe in my shelter I can be something better Better... Blue, deep blue, And the waves, they flatten The brightest that my face shine The more that I die inside Bit by bit, as days goes My consciousness is slowing Everything all the time, Nothing remains inside Listen to the big voice Telling all but nothing Raising my voice up, I slowly keep falling down Falling... Blue, deep blue, And the waves, they flatten The brightest that my face shine The more that I die inside “Everything’s beautiful, Nothing hurt” I believed, I believed...

Behind his mask, the hero dies Crawling back from his castle of lies His counterpart he once loved Is becoming what he fears the most And he says: “I didn’t mean to hurt you then All I’ve ever done was apart from myself, I’m begging you to understand But I don’t blame you if you won’t” His feelings run away from him now. Now he’s lighter than a leaf of grass All the rotten he once had Now it’s floating in my head And I can’t bear the weight of your words And neither the way you washed your hands off Now you’re better, you’re fine, you’ve defeated your mind And I remained the same in the shadow of it.

Welcome my dear old friend To my creation I no longer can control This is not my home This is not my war This is not my world Calm down, I’m here Falling in the same void We have both enjoyed our rides The destination’s near The desolation’s near I’m longing to be feared My domestic demon I wanted to be free but But I forgot the right words to say Now Use me Tease me Beat me Abuse me I just don’t care anymore My fuhrer My caudillo, You better be lethal, ‘Cause I just don’t care anymore Eve, mother of perfection The seed of infection Eve, I’m Adam’s resurrection The chaos incarnation Longing to be free. Wake up, my feared old friend, We’re not lucid dreaming I’m the one who can cause pain We are in a deadlock, In the foxhole of our present We’re the fossils of our present My domestic demon I was longing to be free But I forgot the right words to say Swirling, dancing, trees Don’t let my eyes see What’s behind your beautiful reign Eve, take me in your possession Your fetal obsession Eve, I'm adam's resurrection The chaos incarnation I’m longing to be free.

Reflections 05:47
Underneath a forgetful sun, You end tarnished by his light You couldn’t stand the pressure The radiations were far too high Like a dam that would have broken It was just a matter of time. You couldn’t put it in easy terms, But the effects were alive You couldn’t stare At the well for too long ‘Cause in the deep, you know Something was haunting you And you couldn't stand it for too long You keep clutching on the certainties, But in the deep, you know something was haunting you And you couldn't stand it for too long Blind as a stone, You stare at a picture, But you don’t know How it was shot How well polished is the monument! The fanfare wouldn’t stop Overwhelming voices grow Redundant, empty, only noise Keep on shooing all the flies That surround the rotten thing Keep the scene clean enough Don’t let them see what you have made.

Motorbike 05:41
Can you tell how I look from 100 miles? Fading away from your viewing line? Can you hold your life strong enough? Or does it slip away while you ride? Faster than the speed of thoughts Louder than the sound of love Real as when you were young Danger’s overrated, is a fact, When you’re more afraid to live than to die Things look better when running high When you’d rather be more than blind The lovely sound of tiring wheels- The charming touch of broken glass- THE ROAD HAS NO FORGIVENESS.

I lost myself between two worlds A lain drunk and a cried laugh And the sun moving ever in the same way I lost myself in too many words Short-term feelings, expiring loves. And our tongues are moving ever in the same way. And the clouds, they obscure. Shadows grow an entity on their own And the clouds they obscure The circuit’s broken My lung exhale smog Anesthesia, believe in god Defeating demons, disarming bombs Doesn’t all feel the same? And the clouds, they obscure Shadows grow an entity on their own And the clouds they obscure The circuit’s broken My lung exhale smog

about

Climbing up from oblivion...
Italo Svevo once wrote that “present-day life is polluted at the roots”. But what actually stems out from these polluted roots? SUBTREES tackle this question in their full-length debut, Polluted Roots. Written in response to rough events, this concept album revolves around the themes of memory and trauma.

... toxic waste radiating dread...
The continuum of the record is divided into seven overexposed snapshots, from the foggy birth (Syngamy) until the coda of luminous explosion that closes it (Jungle/Overexposure). Both in their sound and in their intentions, these songs exhibit the band’s expressive urge: a no frills attitude is reflected in a raw production, as close as possible to a live situation.
